Javier Manzano is a Mexican American filmmaker and photojournalist best known for his coverage of Latin America and the Middle East. He has worked as an independent photographer in over 40 countries earning him several honors including three Emmy awards, two BAFTA nominations, a Pulitzer prize, the Bayeux-Calvados Normandy award and two World Press Photo awards.
His camera work has been featured in National Geographic, Channel 4, BBC, PBS, VICE HBO as well as in film festivals around the world. His photography has been published in all major publications including TIME magazine, The New York Times, and The Washington Post to name a few.
